Mancienne plays better when he's told to stay on a man, like Gerrard for example. Today, i thought he was very poor.
If he wants to make it as a midfielder he has to learn that if the ball is in the air you don't have to head it - he never seems to take the ball down and retain possession but head it and give it away.
One of their goals today, he had the chance about thirty seconds before they scored to take it down but headed it and let them have it back which in turn gave them momentum again.
Guedioura looked decent when he came on - i hope we see him in the Mancienne role on Wednesday if Mick persists with the current formation.

he doesn't want to make it as a midfielder thats the point. He is a centre back but Mick won't play him in his position - a bit like other players I could mention!

Also think Mac was not the only one guilty of the hoof and air tennis, seems to be part of our tactics, for the last 10 games or so, hit high and hope, we can all see its like saying here have the ball back and have another go, but can MM?
I do believe we are capable of decent passes on the ground, just we dont get any practice at it...

ward?--is that so bentley can run at him from 50yds & then be allowed to cross--if berra(which he was)at fault for first goal then ward was definitely at fault for 2nd

Mancienne was tried as a CD but was sh*te, the covering midfield roll he has been playing of late has suited him and the team. I'd take the gamble and rest him Wednesday - like i said, Guedioura for me!
Agree 100% Foley for RB.

Dead right i was going to say ward only because he was slightly better than steerman, and
that position would be one for priority signing.
